It's a slow week for new Wii releases. We'll only be seeing one new Wii game this week, but at the very least it's a big one.
Super Paper Mario, the once GameCube exclusive, turned Wii port, turned Wii exclusive is finally here in it's "5-D" glory. The previous games only touched the surface of Mario's new 2-D paper environment as Super Paper Mario allows you to switch freely from a 2-D to 3-D perspective. This opens up a wide array of puzzles and level designs which only enhance the experience.
The rest of April seems like it will also be a slow month for Wii; that is unless you're a big fan Bionicle and Bust-A-Move. So take this opportunity to maybe enjoy some of the Wii's hidden gems like Excite Truck or checking out one of the newer titles like The Godfather and SSX Blur. Or better yet you could take a break from video games for a bit and bond with that family you've neglected for the past few months.
Oh, and if you're some rabid Nintendo fanboy worried about how only having one new game will affect your precious console's sales, you've got nothing to worry about. I don't think the PS3 and 360's 0 new games will do much damage. However,
Pet Vet 3D: Animal Hospital on PC could pose a threat...

For a while I was considering the GC version, but now that this is released I'll definitely give it a try. Who's worried about Wii sales? Seems like every time I go to gamestop at LEAST five or six people (parents or kids) ask if they have a Wii. I'm told they get like 50 calls a day just people asking about it.
5D! That's just sounds so cool!
I thought they completely scrapped the GC version? Anyhoo, I'm interested in hearing why Bowser is ON YOUR TEAM. Sounds weird, but the 5D thing was a clever way of describing the 3D/2D change up.

Sounds cool, but is completely wrong! lol
The 5th dimension (1 proposed string theory) is alternative timelines, not the interaction of 2-d and 3-d. I like 2.5-d better, although it's still not accurate.
Has anyone picked this up yet today? I'm leaving to grab my copy in about an hour...
I'm going to get it either today or tomorrow. 5-D sounds really cool. Harmonica...don't ruin my dreams!

Uh for those who are talking about a GC version. There is none it was completely gotten rid of.
But I'm gonna pick this up eventually.
Just picked mine up...Still haven't played it since other members of the fam claimed the TV...bastards...
Ohhh!!
I can't go to get mine yet! >.<
Stuiped mom....
Im a fan of the Paper Mario series, so i'll eventually buy this one

Ok, but I'll be picking up this game when I have some money.
lol. I also remember hearing that in a Nintendo Power article. They spoke of how Sony's president mentioned that the PS3 was so awesome that it produced 4D graphics. So they said.
"Super Paper Mario is pretty much a 5 dimensional adventure (take that Kutaragi!)"
lol
It's a big month for the DS though
