No, that's not a typo that you see. Guitar Hero 3 has been slated for a fall release for the Nintendo Wii. How is this possible? I don't know why it's coming so soon after the release of Guitar Hero II, and honestly I don't care. I'm just glad that we're getting Guitar Hero for the Wii!
Guitar Hero II came out for the PS2 last November and also landed on the Xbox 360 last week. There has been a lot of discussion on
Guitar Hero coming to the Wii.
In the frequently asked questions section over at RedOctane they answered the following question "When is Guitar Hero 2 (II) Coming? Will there be GH 2 for Wii, PS3, XBox, Xbox 360, etc?" they had this to answer "Guitar Hero 2 for Playstation 2 launched 11/7/2006, Xbox 360 launched 4/3/2007 and both items are shipping now." They also had this to say "Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 2, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii are currently scheduled for release in the United States in Fall of 2007". Please be aware that this is not official. Neither Activision nor Neversoft could be reached for comment to confirm this.
The interesting thing I noticed was that Guitar Hero 2 was given a 2008 release date for the Wii and now they're saying that Guitar Hero 3 will be out for the Wii this Fall... You can see how confusing this is but maybe we shouldn't question it. Maybe we should just accept it and be happy that we're getting it one way or another. Hopefully we can get an answer on whether or not this is true.
And lo and behold. Since this article's submission RedOctane has since removed all references to Guitar Hero 3, as well they make no mention to Guitar Hero II on Wii. But with the amount of
leaks recently we're still hopeful the game is coming.

This is great news. Since this is coming out in the fall GH2 for Wii could be just around the corner.
Hopefully they'll get some more Black Sabbath/Ozzy on this next installment. I'd like to rock out to "Paranoid" sometime. This is such great news!!

People are acting like this is new news; this was stated a couple months ago. Well anyways. Downloadable songs would be nice. I don't really care what songs go in but some Misfits or NOFX would be nice... But any song is fun to play so eh.

No, it was GH3 I don't remember where but in a magazine they were interviewing them about GH2 on 360, and asked about Wii and they said that the Wii would see the next Guitar Hero.

Maybe they'll release a section where you can play music from the previous Guitar Hero games. I loved to play Iron Man, Take Me Out and Smoke on the Water. I want to do it on the Wii, too.
The thing about guitar hero 1 was that i could play almost all the songs that were on there (Smoke on the water, iron man, i love rock and roll, more than a feeling, ect.)
SO i wasn't to interested about guitar hero 1......But thats a cool idea anyways!

If you are referring to the high cost of new songs on live, it is all up to how much Nintendo wants to make us pay for them....But, i doubt that they will be that high...
Maybe 150 or 175 per song.....
