Rooster not liking talk about math...

but my family is obsessed with this show but I won't even bother to look at it twice...unless you can actually win money off it.
blah
The odds they give you on that show are wrong.  You'll always have a 1:X number of cases that it's the case.  Just because they open other cases doesn't mean the odds that you picked the right case have changed, so when you get down to 2 cases, 1 has a mil, the other doesn't, you should switch cases.  Then your odds are 50/50, otherwise they are still 1:x.

I hate the show.
no thanks, but if they come out with 'so you think your smarter than a 5th grader' i am so there
I agree with you there Drew. I watch that show every Thursday night with my family. I am sure they would love playing it on the Wii if they had a game for it.

I am now deciding whether I should give my award of worst game of the year to this or High School Musical.

High School Musical will definitely win worst game of the year. Deal or No Deal is somewhat related to a game.

I hate that smarter than a 5th grader show!!
I watched it once and they asked "What is a right triangle?"
And i freaked out when the lady stalled for 5 min. and then got it wrong!
How dumb can you really be?!!

It's not that they're dumb they just forgot most of the information. But the question where they asked it two sides of a scalene triangle are 1 degree each how much is the 3rd side? She answered 1 and that was just plain stupid. And I can't believe no one has made it to a million yet.

I AM SO EXCITED! THIS MAKES ME EVEN MORE EXCITED THEN THE UP-COMING CSI GAME! EEEE!

^-- that was a sarcastic comment

:l
i could crush those 5th graders...

you know darn well that average 5th grader wouldn't have info on a scalene triangle, unless they went to a geek school or literally spent their time away from people and making love to a geometry book. like most shows it's rigged, and jeff foxworthy probably wouldn't know the answer if he didn't have them right in front of them. someone still has to remind him to breath in and out Wink

Good point GFT77, If you have ever watched the show Jeff Foxworthy looks at the kids papers sometimes to see what they thought but I think it is really because he doesn't know the answer himself.
this just in...rednecks are dumb Smile

But 5th graders are now learning things in 5th grade I didn't learn until later. Just like I'm learning things in high school my sister never learned before.

Ya its true, kids are continuing to learn more each year. I watched a video on youtube that said that nowadays when people start a 4-year college plan by their fourth year half of what they learned in the first year will be outdated.
