(Please relax, everybody. I'm sure this is one title everybody wants in their collection.)
According to
Destination Software's website, Deal or No Deal will be heading to the DS, GBA, and the Wii. The only release date I've seen is for the DS game, on June 5.
It's not on the caliber of Super Paper Mario or Guitar Hero, but it's still a future release.
Deal or No Deal? Yay. So much excitement. I swear.
I just wonder how they will turn this game show into an actual videogame

Well, wheel of furtune and who wants to be a millionair were all lame so, i doubt this will do well....
i dont even think the show is that great. plus why would you spend $50 on a game of a game show where you're supposed to win money
^just what i was thinkin'

I doubt they would dare charge the full $50 for the game, but I still wouldn't buy it just for that reason. There are people who will though.

It's from Destination Software. Because of that reason alone, I'd expect the price to be no more than $30.
Thirty dollars for the Wii game: DEAL....or no deal?
lol. NO DEAL! *slams down the cover over the red button* (okay i'd admit i've seen one but i was waiting for Heros.
We talked about this show in my advanced math class....
Has ALOT of math in it actually!!
But, that dosn't mean i'm gona buy this game! lol
As long as we can wax Howie's skull with waggle support I'm in...Ahhhh F-it...No Deal...

Waxing howies head FTW!!
I am now deciding whether I should give my award of worst game of the year to this or High School Musical.

I teach high school math and I've used Deal or No Deal quite a bit in the probability and statistics chapters. If there are unlockables with R-rated pictures of the models, heckyeah I'm plunking $30 on it. Otherwise, there are enough Deal or No Deal flash games on the Internet which are 100% free.
For the worst game of the year, I'll add a third candidate--Chicken Shoot, also to be released by Destination Software. At least Deal or No Deal is a game to begin with and the Wii version is essentially a home version. HS Musical...good heavens, I think I just died a little inside just by saying that show's title.
Thats awesome that your theach and are into video games!
I bet all the kids love you! lol
Where do you teach by the way?
wow, you know what would be just as fun? Trying to guess what number im thinking of. I hope this game is a bad joke.

I always try to tie lessons in with stuff my students know about, which is primarily TV, movies, music, cell phones, and video games. My students know I own a DS and just got a PS2 and a Wii in the last 2 months. They're quite jealous I have a Wii. They are helpful in picking games, even though I don't really care much for 3/4 of the games they like. As soon as I got Madden 07 for the PS2, I became the best friend of almost every student who owns a PS2.
Showing my students that I'm similar to them in some ways does break down a few barriers and shows them I'm not some stuck-up teacher. I am waiting for the day I find one of them on Pictochat. I plan on notifying them through Pictochat that they're getting a detention.
Ain't technology sweet?
Where do you teach by the way?
Cleveland.

Exactly, man. The game is all about probability and odds.
There are 26 cases (I believe), so the odds of picking a million dollars in this game is 25:1. Once you eliminate a low amount, your odds improve, but if you eliminate a high value, your odds of the Banker improving his deal goes down.
There's a set odds/probability equation that the Banker uses to determine his offer, most likely rounding off to the nearest 100 dollars.

This game sounds interesting, so I might get this. Emphasis on "might".
