Earlier today a new arcade game for Pokemon was revealed called Pokemon Battrio. This arcade game is made by Tomy and utilizes specialized coins in order to utilize different Pokemon. With this, you can battle otehr people in massive glory. This game is cel-shaded and acts like the arcade version of Pokemon Battle Revolution. This also brings a new Pokemon Mechanic in. Instead of 2 on 2, you can now have 3 on 3 battles. Expect more on this arcade game soon.

Sounds interesting, but would you go out to the arcade and play this. plus it sounds like it can become expensive cause you have to buy special coins for each pokemon you want to use. i'm wondering if the game would be worth it.

UPDATE!

...There will be 36 different Pokemon available when it will be launched, but more will be added on later on. Players can arrange the different Pokemon in different formations, which is an important aspect of the game play. Players can battle against another player, or can play a single player mode against a CPU opponent.

Pokemon Battrio will be available in Japan in July 2007, and will cost 100 Yen per play (which converted in US currency, is about 83 cents).[/quote]

It seems good, but yet so different.
I think it looks cool, I always thought that of cel-shaded graphics. But is this game even going to be on the Wii? and will it have WiFi
No it is an arcade game. Imagine going to an arcade and playing this game.
I love the idea of 3 on 3 battles. But will this be another pokemon Wii game to come out monts after PBR's release
No its for an arcade, you know the place you play tekken, DDR, racing games, air hockey, House of the Dead, Time Crisis, etc...

That game would be C00L. That cel-shading looks SWeeT!
Oh. And I kinda prefer the cel-shading in tis game because it seems to fit perfectly for pokemon.
I wouldn't mind playing it as long as it was good....
If they messed it all up, i would just regard it as another bad Pokemon game...
Woah, three-on-three?

That's going to have to utilize some serious strategy here.

But still: this is awesome! I'll definitely play this game.

already started making teamsBig Grin

i hope this game gets ported to Wii or possibly DS. i dont know any arcades in my area.

I would go to an arcade and play this game with enjoyment, my only setback would be hoping that know one I knew was there, seeing me play a Pokemon game.
thats the same feeling i have. also i'm not really into arcade games to begin with. if i were to play it i would have to be in a another state. lol.

PBR looks really good especially the battle fields. pokemon graphics could work either way though.

Wouldn't play it because frankly I never play in a arcade.
I'd play it, but I don't have any arcades around my area. I'd probably have to go down into a nearby town in Tennessee to play it. (I live in KY)
Last time I played a game in the arcade was about 11 years ago so I'm not sure I'd venture into an arcade just to find it. There are tons of arcades here but they are all full of older games by SNK and Capcom.

Wow, nice pics Brawler. Those little pokemon chips are cool.
it looks like you have to buy the coins, then pay to play. it's liking buying a deck of cards and having to pay everytime you play a game of poker or whatever. why not just make a cabinet that projects the card game onto a screen (like the abismal Yu-Gi-Oh series, but without holograms that kill people)
Those are really cool, nice find brawler.
