Dude..I bought a PS3...then decide to return it the next day because my GF wants to play and she really isn't into the insanely complex games and gfx of the Ps3/360, so I brought it back the next day and figured I'd wait for the Wii (which is what she wants).
If it wasn't for her, I would have kept the PS3 and just gone with that....my buddy brought his over and it looks INSANE in HD on the big screen.
i thought there would be plenty by april...oops
i agree its a problem because the folks that cant get a wii, might be tempted to buy an elite 360 or ps3 b/c they are available

They are doing all that they can, but the demand is just so great that they can't keep up with their supplies. They are doing their best, and that's all they can do.

well i work in the entertainment department at my local futureshop, and we already have 21 units with 40 remotes and 20 nunchuks, and some other accessories. if anything the shortage in my area is finally getting a break cause our store hasnt seen any wii's in almost 3 weeks.
I work at a Game Crazy in Woonsocket, RI...We haven't had a Nintendo Wii in stock since January...and of course the first ones we get is gonna have one short for the customers, cuz I'm nabbing one! Just figured when we had em at launch that , "eh....when my birthday rolls around in on April 10, I'll be able to get it then". Then borat chimed in w/ a NOOOOOOOT!

I really never expected the shortages to last this long. I thought end of Feb or beginning of March at the latest. Here we are in April. Look at the bright side though. With Wiis selling out of stock like this then it should show all those 3rd party companies that there is a demand for games and the Wii is serious.

I like how Nintendo said back in December that we 'may' have to wait until March for Wiis to be available... talk about an under-estimation

well if someone hasnt found a wii by now it just means they aren't trying hard enough. you cant expect to go to a store and ask if they have any.

yea before i had a job at futureshop i used to call there every day until they started getting annoyed, but im sure i wasnt the only one was calling. it also depends on the person you talk to. thye might sometimes tell you a little bit of extra info.
No, gamestop/ebgames get their shipments at 11:30 am, I don't get out of school until 1:15, by that time they are already sold out, and I don't feel like skipping any classes to buy a game system.
And walmart never seems to know when they are getting any. But I am going to hit up KMart on sunday, they are getting some.
