Surprise, surprise. Who doesn't like surprises? I love surprises! Well, at least if they are good ones and this my friends is a great one. The final version of the Opera Browser for the Nintendo Wii is available now! We had known for some time that it would be coming in April but I don't think anyone expected it this soon into the month.
We had posted earlier that
the Opera Browser would be delayed until April. So eventhough we should have seen it coming, we weren't expecting it so soon.
You may be asking yourself, "Just what is different about the final version?" I haven't even had the chance to download it yet since I'm typing this article to tell all of you about it. What I can tell you is what was said to have been included in the final version. We posted earlier about the
new details of the final Opera Browser for the Wii. For those of you who are too lazy to click on the link you can see a summary of what was to be added below.
- Auto-hide toolbar
- Display cursors from multiple Wii remotes (though only Player 1 can actually click)
- Favorites page immediately accessible
- Improved website compatibility
- Improved zoom leaves text crisp at all levels
- New and better scroll interface
- Search button on the toolbar
- Start up time decreased by 5 seconds
- URL text buttons (www and com) easily accessible.
Now that you know it's out I just have one question for all of you. What are you still doing here reading this article? I would've been gone to my Wii a couple paragraphs ago. i dunno, maybe it's the ghosts of chainsaw'd-ers past that is haunting ur wii.

I hate the new way that scrolling works. other than that its all an improvement. i still can't play Chick Chick Boom though.

I tried it not long after finding about it and I was ready for all kinds of connection errors or errors trying to connect to the shopping channel but it went smoothly and I got it on the first try. I guess the 11/12 hours time difference actually helped me out since most U.S. gamers were asleep.
I haven't tried yet as my Wii doesn't seem to like to connect with my internet right. Plus I don't know how to switch what channel my router is on. D:

The first thing I did was try to play chick chick boom but couldn't because of a missing component
I think that they will fix the browser with an update soon for playing flash games
They did say that there would be updates frequently.
Well thats good, I don't mind updating mine often.
