i'm wondering if i should throw in the extra $15 to get the Pokemon Guide for Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. for those who dont know the guide tells you everything about the game from the maps, opponents teams, and a poke dex of the Pokemon, and so on. but i dont know if i should buy it or not.
BUY IT!!!! If you don't you'll only make it halfway until you are confused and have no idea what to do! Trust me. At Serebii and some of the threads here they point out all the new things in D/P. YOU WILL NEED THE GUIDES HELP!!!!
To me, a games about thinking, when you have a guide, it gets rid of that.
And that is why I never buy guides.
I donno about you, but if you want to destory the element of surprise, go ahead and buy

Well, i never bought guides for any other GAME and this is the first time i'll be bbuying a guide. Then again I am 13 and to me the Poketch, PalPark, Sinnoh underground, its all really cool to me, but seems extremely complicated...
Don't buy it. You can always use the guides on IGN.
Fine every body go againsts me...just jokin. But seriously man, you've just gotta follow your heart...(crappy love advice)
yeah i agree with Personman12, get it, you might think that using a guide is an easy way out but i mean you can just use it to have that leading edge and know wuts comming up its not like its gonna take the fun out of the game im sure youll have fun with or without it.
Even though I buy guides all the time, there filled with Spoilers, and are mostly ftl.
I usually get the guide for Pokemon, not so much for the "where do I go now?" factor, but more for the Pokedex and item lists, etc. I rarely use it for the storyline.
My wife on the other hand is a little different. That's the other reason I get the guides, she likes to be lazy.

thats why i want the guide. for the pokemon locations, items, and all that good stuff after the walkthrough. and like what charmander and cloud said i'd rather it be a surprise and think about what i need to do.

agreed. guides for platformers and such are not cool. ruins the whole game. guides for RPGs are quite helpful just for item lists, and Pokemon guides are incredibly helpful for the list of items, Pokedex and list of what can learn TMs/HMs
i'm sure you'll be able to find this in no time on gameFAQ.com though
How much does the game cost normally?
$35 USD, then theres a certain percent tax depending on which state you live in. the state i live in theres a 5% tax, so the game comes to $36.75
I would get it only if it has tips on pwning online.
doubt that. that comes with experience.
No it comes with who can get all the best legendairies.
Ya. the guide isn't like a gameshark or nothin, it's more like a "road map" of the game.
the thing is that yes theres Serebii and various other credible sources, but i dont wanna run to the computer everytime i want to see something. and plus theres only one computer in my house, maybe if i had my own.

I meant, the people online dont need strategy if they have legendaries.
