I just realised that the last 6 months for me have been so full of great things that it could make some people cry. I got a new TV, Wii, free laptop, will be getting a DS Lite soon, and a faster internet connection is on the way.

I'm gonna be needing a new MP3 player soon since mine is falling apart and I hate Sony's system with SonicStage and ATRAC. I'm also going to have a new phone by the end of the year. :3

Get the iPhone! That way you get a phone and an mp3 player at the same time. Go to the quicktime site and check it out. I just got my iPod video a couple of months ago before I knew about the iPhone. It's supposed to come in June. I know it only has 4gb and 8gb models but if you put only the best of the best songs/video on it then it should be enough. I'll get the 8gb. At first I was so against it but after seeing it in action it looks too damn sweet!

You will hate the lack of hard keys. That's one thing I love about my blackjack over my previous PDA phones (along with the one-handiness and the small form factor). It actually has buttons to dial numbers (and letters, full qwerty). It's available now, can hold microSD cards to download music from a place like Napster ($15 a month for unlimited downloads, not pay per track), and best of all, it has 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) which the iPhone lacks (EGDE/GPRS only).
Yes, the iPhone looks very nice, but let's face it; this phone was made for the lemmings willing to pay any price (ie $600 AT&T exclusive) to have a form factor phone. It is not for the average person (price), mobile enthusiast (lack of features) or the business person (lack of features)

Although, so far in my teens I have yet to require a cell phone >.>

I've used touch screens a lot so the transition wouldn't be too hard for me on the iPhone. It's similar to the iPOD. When I first got it the controls were a bit awkward, now I can't even think about going to pushing buttons. I need my scrollwheel! I've seen the iPhone video demonstration twice. You should give it a look if you haven't seen it. The reason I'm looking forward to it is because it does just about everything I need it to do. I will be calling people, SMSing, listening to MP3s, and watching movies on it. The other features I doubt I'll use as much.
Unfortunately, like z6 mentioned, I'm not exactly willing to pay over $600 CDN for it. I could just get some other MP3 phone for under $100, but then you gotta buy the additional memory and my friends have had to buy special headphones to fit with their phones. So I might just get some cheap cell that has the basics of making calls and text messaging and just pick up an iPod nano or something.

I do have a PDA knocking about, but I rarely use it.
I see the iPhone to Phones as the PS3 is to games.
It's no longer a 'communication device' its now a 'portable media office combination' (or some other corporate bullcrap). There's a reason things are specialised, because it's a lot easier to get one thing right as opposed to millions of things.
Find me an MP4 Phone with 80GB storage and an EQ
PDAs and Phones I can sort of accept as a good combination. but you're never gonna get an MP3/4 Phone that can touch an iPod (or dare I say a Zune)
