Sega held its first press presentation of Sega Rally Which was showcased on the PS3. The new focus is on originality, and pushing the Artifical Intelligence of the drivers to match the skill sets and aggressiveness, and deformation of terrain (similar to Motorstorm).
Real world physics and obstacles will be brought into play, an example would that water puddles will make you car slide, hills will make your car lift off the ground, wrecks and damage to terrain will remain in effect the entire race making each race unique and different. Users will need to adapt there controls to the terrain and changing conditions of the race as each wheel is managed here independently according to the deformation of the circuit.
Graphics will push the limits of the PS3 in it’s early life stage as well. We should hear more on Sega Rally in the coming weeks, as they have promissed to release a partial list of the vehicles that will be presented. No other console was mentioned at this time.
