How far have you gotten?

I made it to room 73 before I died. I wasn't adequately prepared though. I had only a couple of those Shroom Shakes, and a Super Shroom Shake, and whatever I could pick up from monsters along the way. I've gotta go back better prepared and try it again, I wanna get those cards and hopefully whatever cool prize awaits me after the final room/boss.

(Don't spoil the surprise for me!!)

That sounded killer when I first heard about it and still does. 100 rooms with no save or continue. Be prepared, be very prepared. Better to overdue it than vice-versa.

how difficult is the pit on a scale of 1-10?

It gets progressively harder as you go through the rooms. Puts your skills to the test.

2nd try....It's not that hard, just make sure you buy lots of Long Lasting Shroom Shakes and Shroom Shakes b4 you go in...the 1st time I tried I didnt even make it to 60...it also goes a lot quicker if you try not to look at the room number youre on.....

Yeah, it's not that hard. I just wasn't prepared and made too many lazy mistakes... Like hitting those wierd blob things with the twigs poking out of their body that give you some kind of status ailment like "low jump" or "slow"...
