So i got my GI magazine a few days ago and i hadnt had time to read it till today, im flipping through the pages just to get an overview of the contents and what do i see, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy XIII, i just pause and think to myself is this real, can this really be happening to me, am i dreaming, but its all there check it:

In a similar move to Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Square Enix announced at their press conference that Final Fantasy XIII will take over several platforms under the umbrella of Fabula Nova Crystallis ("the new tale of the crystal" in Latin). Final Fantasy XIII proper will appear on the PS3, and features a badass chick similar to Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2. She flips around enemies blasting them with her gun and slashing away with her sword. The pre-rendered trailer almost looked like it was for an action game rather than an RPG. Final Fantasy XIII
In a surprise move, Square announced Final Fantasy Versus XIII for PS3 as well. Following the Latin theme, Square translates the Verses title into "to change direction." This trailer showed a dark figure sitting on a throne, contemplating his fate. He eventually stands up and walks outside to an epic staircase. Groups of soldiers open fire on him and the bullets bounce off an invisible shield. The man eventually charges up energy and a ring of swords and guns appears around him. They rotate quickly and he grabs the right one for the job. You can guess what happens to those poor soldiers next. Apparently, Versus takes place in a different world, with a different story, and different characters than FFXIII. So how does it all tie together? We're not going to know any time soon. But we do know that the Advent Children CG team is working with the Kingdom Hearts gameplay team for one potentially awesome title. Versus is directed by Tetsuya Nomura and produced by Shinji Hashimoto.

There will also be mobile game called Final Fantasy Agito XIII from the same guy who made Before Crisis FFVII.
