That sucks.
Nintendo's online is pretty lame, this is just a bigger nail in its coffin.
GG Nintendo.

It is for me since I'm an American abroad and I have no interest in playing this game with Thais who for the majority can't speak English. I was looking forward to playing with you guys. If SSBB has this same restriction then I'll be devastated. Yes, both the PS3 and 360 support voice chat but don't forget that Nintendo likes to be........"different".
04-23-2007, 01:19 PM
being "different" is not the best solution in some cases, especialy when its most likely hurting you in the long run.

It won't be good for clans. Considering i'm from Europe and the two other admins in my clan are from america

Well bringing back the issue of voice chat, Dume did bring up a good point in a MSN convo the other day. The Wii dose have Blue touth so, it is very likly that there will be online voice chat....
But isn't PBR not region locked?

PBR is not region locked, maybe because it's Pokemon and it has a wider fan base to please than Strikers Charged when it comes to online game play.

He is oviusly happy that PBR will not have to have friend codes or be region locked. I'm happy about that to!
(Now if only i could get my DS by the time PBR came out)

You just got your DS Luben! Also, I don't see why this matters, all of the countries that people say they are from on this forum are online.
No, i think you misunderstood me in MSN...
I said i WILL get a DS soon....
I think that i will get one by the end of this month though...

If you want to play people around the world or specific people then yes.

I won't even be bothering to buy this game. Not with second rate online like this.
04-24-2007, 05:45 PM
You're not even going to rent it to see how it plays LWX.
04-24-2007, 06:04 PM
I am still unsure what I am going to do for this game. My friend will get it for sure so I might just play it at his house cuz i go there all the time.
04-24-2007, 08:38 PM
So long as you can play unranked games against friends, you could easily set up your own tournaments, leagues, etc. so I feel that aspect could make up for the run-of-the-mill job that the company does itself.
04-24-2007, 09:31 PM
There are more important things to worry about. I mean, I already wasn't excited about this game... but online might have been its saving grace. But having heard this, I am saddened. I will not support this type of online.

Just think of it this way, if it wasn't region specific, then you would be playing against those intense European soccer fans who would most likely kick our ass
