I like cel-shaded graphics for some games but it seems to be that the majority of the games that are coming are using it. I was ranting about this in another thread in the past and I still believe it.
the wii's price would never go up, unless they bundle it with like 4 conrollers and some games or something. gameplay > graphics.

I think the other thing with the cel-shaded graphics is that its easier to execute than creating textures and such for every surface. Especially Suda51's game, Killer7 (and soon No More Heroes), while it looks real nice sometimes, others it feels like playing the bare-bones of a game.
It's a more obvious way to create a "style" for the look of the game rather than developing that style to have more advanced textures or certain character and environmental quirks. As with LoZTP, there is a certain amount of style in the character creation and the world's look - it's not entirely realistic, but it's not entirely cartoony either, but finds its place in the middle somewhere that works for the game. The cell-shading thing I feel is at times the easy route to creating a "distinct visual look" that works in some cases (LoZWW, and so far No More Heroes and Treasure Island Z), but other times it just seems they didn't have a direction to go, so just went with this one.
Anyway, it may also be used because it may take less processing power than more advanced graphic textures and environments that the Wii maybe can't handle, so if they want to make long, in-depth games they may cut corners on graphics this way. Or they may make the concious decision, and make sure that the cel-shaded style works and looks really good for their game - as if it could be done in no other way - like I think Treasure Island Z is shaping up to be.
