While for the most part we've been hearing about formerly PS3-exclusive games heading to Microsoft's console, as the PS3 begins to get some momentum up in the marketplace we'll start to see the opposite happening. The first converts are the titles Kane & Lynch (a stealth shooter), and Crossfire (a co-op military shooter). Both are now slated to launch on the PlayStation 3, as well as the Xbox 360.

Opposable Thumbs reports:

"'[SCi Entertainment's] Board believes that a release of these products simultaneously on all three platforms (PS3, Xbox 360 and PC) including the two next generation platforms will benefit the long term revenue potential for these two strong franchises rather than releasing different versions at different times.' It's hard to say that this move is all that surprising. We've said time and time again the high development costs of current generation software are going to lead to an increase in the number of cross-platform software, as extending the possible player-base for a title is crucial for profit. From the looks of these two games, this is a solid win for the PS3: two more quality games to add to the growing list of the PS3's star software."

I never heard of both games.

But good to see PS3 getting more games Smile
I think PS3 and 360 are going to just have each others games in the end.
agreed, the exclusives will be few and far between.
Both systems are pretty similar after all. So only a few games will remain exclusive at this rate.

Which means I'll probably only need to buy one.
Like I said long ago. The word "exclusive" won't have the same meaning 10 years from now. In ten years, the only exclusive titles will be 1st party games.
Just makes it easier on me so I don't have to worry too much about not getting certain games. I've always wished there were only one system with everyone supporting them. I know how that could be really bad because it would be a monopoly and they could churn out garbage and etc... but if they didn't and it really worked then I'd love it.
I hope situations like this make people think twice when a PS3 exclusive is going to other systems and everyone yells doom and gloom. It's just a good way for game publishers to make more money.
The problem is GOW and H3 will be 360 exclusive, and they will never move. Xbox live is invaluable to them and I don't see microsoft licensing it to Sony.

GOW and H3 are the only games anyone really cares about being exclusive. Homogenous to Resistance staying exclusive for PS3, as that's the only game on the PS3 that anyone I know actually cares about (but then my friends are xbox fanboys so i guess it's a tainted view Toungue)
Personally, I wish one of the systems (360 or PS3) would die. As it stands right now, there is no reason to have both, and between the two, Sony has been the bigger d!ck to consumers. Forcing people onto Blu-ray is down-right shady. For that reason (& a few more) I say go with the 360 and Sony can bite it.

Either way, one needs to go. I shouldn't have to buy 3 systems at a total of $1250 (minus tax, games, and extras) to play the games I may want to. That's crazy.

I don't think this will happen though, and when all is said and done the big three will still be around for the next gen, although the pecking order may be different, and the # of units sold most definitely will have changed.
It's good to hear the opposite happening for a change. But I do think that exclusives between the 360/PS3 will become scarce in a couple of years.
It's already happening but as D4rk said some games will never be leap onto other systems. 360 losing Halo would prove me wrong and I'd admit it but that is Never, Eveeeeeeeer gonna happen. (Y2J)
It's just like what the PS2 did to RE4... that pissed me off... plus it made the guy who created RE4 leave the company.
there shouldn't even be mention of H3 coming to PS3. M$ would rather disband the company than let a giant like that go to a competitor. that's almost like Zelda on the PS3...

but i knew this was bound to happen eventually...
