I got one. I'm not sure if I can name it without breaking any rules.

I enjoy it. I buy the games after I try them out. There are alot of games that I would have purchased and would have spent my hard-earned money and be upset (red Steel anyone?) as well as some games which I wouldn't have thought of purchasing but now own the original because I tried a backup (Kororinpa Marble Mania). Also, there are some homebrew applications that were made for the gamcube that work for the Wii now that it's modded.

I can also attest that this is not for the amateur. I actually bricked a Wii, but luckily Nintendo sent me a replacement. I lost my Zelda save and my VC games, as well as my friend code and all my Miis.

So if you are interested, get someone who knows what they are doing (I knew what I was doing since I used to mod PS1's back in the day, but I had a bad modchip, not from the distributer that I have my current chip).
I wanted to see if I could change the disc drive light color but I'm too paranoid hurting my beloved system, at least until I get my second one. lol. Anyone else tried anything like this yet? I'm curious to hear if it's actually how I imagine it.

Yes, actually, it is quite possible, but honestly I love the blue color so I wouldn't imagine changing it. Just from taking a few Wii's apart, I can tell you that this should be a relatively easy project.

when i get a wii, and depending on how the online turns out i might mod it.

Didn't some third party company make something that would let you change the color of the light without voiding your warranty?

I don't honestly know... I want to put a blacklight on mine, and cover the console in my............................................... UV paint
I would like to change my light but it is good enough the way it is. I wouldn't dare try anything on my Wii, in fear of messing it up.
