With the release of WiiLoaded's new skin, we're sure many of you have questions. In fact, there are several frequently asked questions. This thread is to help answer those questions and to get answers for others you may come up with.
1. Why does WiiLoaded look different, and can I change it back?
In celebration of WiiLoaded's first birthday, D4rk, with the help of most of the staff, has created a new skin and layout of WiiLoaded. The old skin is no longer supported, so this is your only choice for the time being, but there's no telling what could happen.
2. What kind of new things come with the new skin?
As you may have noticed, the skin isn't the only new addition. The buddy list is no longer simply a new window, the threads have been reorganized for easier navigation and better organization, a few new forums have been added (including the modification area), and the all new "Games" section has been added. This section provides a short description, or blurb, of the game, reviews from both professionals and members, walkthroughs and Frequently Asked Questions. Well, the walkthroughs and FAQs will be added in later, but they will be available as soon as we find people to write them or let us host them. A not so easily seen addition is actually a guest book in the member profiles. Visit here for details on the awards.
3. What happened to the "View Today's Posts" and "View New Posts" links?
For the time being, these have been moved to the bottom of all the pages in a small box below the ads. However, D4rk had stated early in the skin's life that he only put them there because he couldn't find a better place at the time, so it's entirely possible that this location could change.
4. Have any rules or regulations been added, or anything changed in the staff?
No. WiiLoaded is still the same community. The only change has been Mr.luben and alex51011 who are now official staff members. Their general job is writing the blurbs and reviews for the Games section, but as everyone already in the staff knows, responsibilities can be changed, added and removed.
5. What other additions will be coming?
What in the world would make you think we'd tell you that? The staff kept this all secret for months. It's gonna take an awfully big cupcake for us to leak the updates that are still in the works.
6. What should I do if I find a bug or problem with the new skin?
A thread has been created in the Website Discussion forum where you can post the found issues. Since this is a brand new skin which D4rk had to design in a relatively short time-frame, along with his usual life things, there are many issues, but our friendly neighbor web designer is working hard to fix them. Here's the link where you can post the discovered bugs and errors.
