I have quite a few questions to ask before i get my DS in a few days, so here goes...

1.Is it nessasary to buy screen covers to protect the screen? I really would like my DS to last and not have it get busted within the first 7 months....

2.What are the best ways of perserving my DSs life? Again, i want it to last.

3.I have heard many storys about how DSs have busted at the folding point. What is the best way to pervent this?

4.I plan to buy 3 games, Hunters and Elite Beat Agents but can't decide on the 3rd one. Eny really great games that deserve my money would be good.

5.What will i need to play online?

6.What are some acesorries that might be nessasire?

7.Would you add me to your Friends codes rooster? Toungue

8.Do you think i could get a substantiall amount of money trading in my 2 old GBAs? Along with about 10 or 12 advanced games....

Thanks alot guys, and hope we can play together soon!!
1.Is it nessasary to buy screen covers to protect the screen? I really would like my DS to last and not have it get busted within the first 7 months....

Not really. I don't and so far so good.

2.What are the best ways of perserving my DSs life? Again, i want it to last.

Charge it only when battery is completelly deplated. This saves battery life. Also, don't play it untill battery is fully charged for the first time.
Don't be forceful when using the touchscreen. gentle taps are fine.

3.I have heard many storys about how DSs have busted at the folding point. What is the best way to pervent this?

Don't play around with it (opening/closing for no reason) or dangle by hinges.

4.I plan to buy 3 games, Hunters and Elite Beat Agents but can't decide on the 3rd one. Eny really great games that deserve my money would be good.

I'd buy a mod :3
And if not, Pokemon!!!

5.What will i need to play online?

A Wireless Router, or the USB connector.

6.What are some acesorries that might be nessasire?

The carrying case will protect from scratches while carrying around :3

7.Would you add me to your Friends codes rooster? Toungue

If I get my WiFi working. :3

8.Do you think i could get a substantiall amount of money trading in my 2 old GBAs? Along with about 10 or 12 advanced games...

Depends on the games really.. most likely no.
DS can play GBA, why would you sell them?
Better off selling them in a garge sale.
1. i did because my psp screen got a scratch and i didnt want it happening to the ds

2. dont know, other than letting the battery drain before u recharge it

3. dont **** with it

4. ill sell you hunters! new super mario bros or zelda (if it ever comes out). pokemon is pretty sweet too

5. router

6. case and screen protectors

7. no, i dont play ds online

8. not really, garage sale is a great idea

1. ive had mine for a few years and nothing has happened to my screen. no it is not necesary

2. just dont leave it on and not play it. it only takes two seconds to turn back on

3. mine hasnt. just dont open it when u dont have to

4. possibly animal crossing wild world

5. either a wireless router (preferably a d-link, ive heard those work the best with the wii/ds) or a wifi usb connector made by nintendo

6. ive nvr bought anything except the wifi usb

7. yes, when i get my wireless router. my wifi usb connector use to work but it
stopped working for no reason and then i found out it was not compatible with aol so dont buy it if u have aol. ive heard stories of wifi working with a wireless router even tho people have aol.

8. id say at least 100 at gamestop or funkoland (if those r still around)
the games r old and could depend on stores. normally they r cheap when it comes to bringing things in

1. i actually hate the screen protectors. if you have ANY air bubbles in em, they're practically worthless. i don't use em and mine's been fine for a year

2. the battery stuff said above

3. the DS hinge has an open stage, and another further back. STOP at the first. don't push it any further. if it means anything, the DS phat has a stronger hinge than the lite

4. Trauma Center, less you bought it for the Wii

5. a Wi-Fi hotspot. use the USB with your comp, or a wireless internet system that provides Wi-Fi, or find a library with it. even Starbucks or McDonalds

6. none really. maybe a carrying case if you want it to look pretty, but not necessary.

7. hellz yeah Big Grin. just gotta get my own DS connected

8. i think $40 for the GBAs. maybe $50. up to $55 if you catch one of the trade in specials with a card thingy. keep the games though. you can play em on the DS like Char said

1.Is it nessasary to buy screen covers to protect the screen? I really would like my DS to last and not have it get busted within the first 7 months....

I have had mine for awhile, at least 1 year before trading it in, no problems, so I would say no here.

2.What are the best ways of perserving my DSs life? Again, i want it to last.

Don't Drop it.

3.I have heard many storys about how DSs have busted at the folding point. What is the best way to pervent this?

Don't Drop it again or bend it back to far one click to keep it up is enough. : P

4.I plan to buy 3 games, Hunters and Elite Beat Agents but can't decide on the 3rd one. Eny really great games that deserve my money would be good.

You are now getting 4 games.Toungue Pokemon and Mario Kart DS.

5.What will i need to play online?

A Wireless Route compatible with Nintendo's WiFi connection; Nintendo has a list on their website, or their USB connecter.

6.What are some acesorries that might be nessasire?

Um.. if you get a black DS lite, I suggest a carrying case or a cloth.

7.Would you add me to your Friends codes rooster? Toungue

Alas, I would, but I usually don't play anymore.

8.Do you think i could get a substantiall amount of money trading in my 2 old GBAs? Along with about 10 or 12 advanced games....

No, don't do it.
1. I wouldn't even touch/play with my DS without getting covers for the top and bottom of it.

2. Get a good silicon skin for it (may not look nice but will help protect it a lot. Also be careful not to push the screen back or force it back too much.

3. See the last part of my above answer.

4. That's too difficult for me to answer because 3 would not nearly be enough for me. Toungue

5. Wireless Access Point/Wireless Router that is compatible with Nintendo's WiFi setup.

6. An extra stylus wouldn't hurt because they can be easily lost. A good carrying case as well.

7. I no longer play my DS...

8. Your best bet would be to try to sell them to someone and you could get more money that way if you have the time.
I see were you guys are coming from, but what is so great about the carrying case?
The carrying case is for if you put your DS in say, a backpack when your going somewhere. That why it won't move around in it and get scratched.
The Carryng case also has a zipper at the back that can hold an extra stylus, games, and other small stuff. Mostly used for carrying games... unless you want to buy the seperate games carryier, or carry the game boxes around :p
Good point Char....
I think thats gonna go on my list too...
Thanks!!
Well, i got it....
My mom finally took me down there and i got a Black DS...
So if i seem to not be as active, its because i'm messing around with it! I sadly got no Wi-Fi games yet, but they will soon come!! Big Grin
Cool. I'm going to buy a black DS next month when i get some money. then we can play together luben!
It seems like they got everything covered, just one of the GBAs, u might want to keep one just in case you have an accident or if you have gameboy color games that you want to play, GBC games don't work on the DS cause they're to small
1. As long as you take good care of it, this is not necessary.
2. Don't tap the screen too hard or bend the hinge all the way back.
3. Like I said in #2, don't open it too much. It will be fine if you open it how it's intended to be opened.
4. Pokemon Diamond or Pearl. If not that, umm... Animal Crossing
5. A wireless router at home, a USB connector (can be bought at all electronic stores that sell a DS for around $30-40), or a WiFi hotspot near your home.
6. Anything you might think you'll need, such as extra styluses or a carrying case.
7. Sure, as soon as my internet starts working properly (sometimes works, sometimes does not)
8. Probably not. I still have my old GBA and GBA SP for linking purposes between GBA games and Gamecube. Keep the games as the DS can play them as well.
