I saw an article on FFX-2, and thought it was interesting. I personally enjoyed FFX, but also turned my nose up at X-2. Many people I knew told me how much they enjoyed the game, but I could never get myself to buy the game and try it out.
I saw this article on Destruction titled: "Seriously, guys, FFX-2 isn't all that bad", and would like everyone's opinion.

Oh god it's horrible. It's not even an RPG in any sense. The storyline is thinner than campbell's chicken and stars soup. The gameplay is retarded easy too, just flip one of the girls to white mage and set the controls to static, have her use the free ability to do a small group heal (no MP cost) and set the other two to attack then just hold X for the rest of the game during battle. The music video during the opening is kind of catchy I guess but most of the game is just running around collecting useless spheres and them jumping up and down and giggling at each other. Everything else is pretty much a direct port of the FFX engine.

I didn't find the game all that bad, I bought it and enjoyed it, the characters I really didn't enjoy, the story was a instafail. but other than that the Gameplay was alright, with the Dress Spheres.
The game is Alright.
I have a friend who is a complete gaming nut. They literally have every classic and recent game you can think of. They've played and own every FF game that's been published, and they actually liked this game. They acted a little...embarrassed by telling me that, but they liked it. If I see it sometime at walmart or someplace for $19.99, I might just pick it up and try it.
i personally thought this game was gonna be way better then what it actually is, i guess i was just expecting to much out of it, i think this is the only game that square let me down on, its definitely one of the easier square games and well to me it just didnt live up to the the FF name, sure it concludes the FFX story but i just think they could have done a better job with it.....but thats just me...

At first, I had hopes. I thought we'd get an awesome RPG game that would fully continue the FF-X storyline and make it even stronger.
After playing it for a little bit I discovered I was wrong. It was terrible. The story was lame, the characters sucked and Dress Spheres are gay. WTF @ Vegnagun? Controlled by playing a piano sort of keyboard?

Yuna was destroyed in this game, Auron's voice was violated, Tidus was the same girly jock when he actually appeared, Paine is an empty Lulu replacement and Rikku is just a skank.
FF-X2 sucks.
