Something new has come up.
While on the Nintendo Health and Safety screen hold down + and - and then press A. Once you get to the Wii menu you'll be told you've entered Maintenance Mode and the message board has been turned off. Not much else is known about this yet.
maintenance mode, eh? wonder what that does... does restarting your console take it out of this mode?
Yeah, it does. And even going into a channel and back to the Wii menu resets it back to normal I believe. So even turning your console on in maintenance mode and then pressing the home button and selecting Wii Menu will reset it.
what can you do in said maintenance mode though?
also regarding the keeping the light on all the time, originally that didnt work, but with one of the last firmware updates it does, i had message from a friend and if i didnt check it the light kept coming on...
Nothing out of the ordinary really aside from not being able to access the message board which was kind of strange.

I just saw it on a few sites but I'm not sure how others figured it out. Probably just stumbled upon it unintentionally.
