I'm sure that name came from somewhere in the Starfox series
it's not. the name is a referense to Star Cluster called Pleiades. it's possibly that this is a ship in a future Star Fox game. in that case the look/outfit fox has now would be in the game.
Could even be a hint towards the Wii Starfox game that will eventually be made. Heck, maybe it'll even be announced at E3.

Well, if you think about it, there were starships firing at you in Coneria (SSBM), so it wouldn't hurt to have dangerous asteroids now and then...
