I think it's possible, but I'm not holding my breath. I think it's an interesting idea, but as far as being able to control the transformation from samus to zero samus I'm a little skeptical. Holding the button down before the match to start off as her sounds like a good idea, but I doubt they'll let you. The final smash could really screw up someone who likes samus but isn't as familiar with zero. I think it's possible they might actually let samus get her armor back eventually... maybe?
they need to clear up this debate. they just need to update the site with 2 seperate character bios with samus and zamus being seperate

I doubt they'll let us control the transformation like that. The getting her armor back is a big MAYBE, but if Wario can pull a motorcycle out of thin air anything is possible. I think a person who uses Samus would just have to be careful about getting a Smash Ball if they don't like using Zamus. I', hoping there is something on the selection screen that you could just choose which one you want.

I will have occasional matches with items. But not enough, they ruin matches.
And yes Dume, that can be a positive. But never underestimate item hogs. Items just plain suck if your playing serious matches.

Deal with it. Almost all of our old favorites will be altered, so we'd be forced to relearn everything anyway.
Also this is a let down for people who main as Samus and only Samus. Just think of it, they are winning and they use their FS and then they are stuck with Zamus who they are not good with.
no one is forcing you to use the FS though. hopefully Sakurai updates with clarification next week.

Well, Zamus has now got a character profile. And it says nothing about her being seperate and still references her as being usable after Samus' blows her Varia Suit.

Well, its good to see Zamus. I'm happy that she has been revealed because personally, she'll kick as. I was just hoping they'd reveal much more fair conditions for being her. But it appears this won't happen yet (if at all).
i don't like the having to use a FS to get Zamus. There should be another way like Shiek and Zelda

honestly this update was worse than yesterday's cause its not a different character at all. its just the suit and moveset that changes within battle, so Zamus shouldnt get the "newcomer" label.

I don't see a problem. It was an update and people discussed how they didn't like it, that's what this thread is for. In any topic about any news, someone is complaining. Welcome to the internet. On the topic of Zamus not getting a 'newcomer' title well, Sheik was considered her own character and all she did was change her outfit and moveset. The conditions were different as to how to change into her as apposed to Zamus, but she was still treated like her own character.
