MS Online Hands-on

(though this isnt the super smash bros section, does this reveal more info on possibilities of brawls online?)
Well it sounds like all is well. Should be awesome.
Well, i personally think that Strikers Charged will be a great start to Online!
(Even if there are friend codes....)

Strikers Charged is first in Europe Pokemon is first here. But Strikers Charged does launch Wii online outside of Japan.
Yeah, but Key Word there: Japan.

Japan has had Pokemon for a while...
Yea.

It was not clear how you will invite new friends to your list, but I managed to confirm that the 12 digit ‘friend code’ that identifies you is not the same as your Wii’s own code. That means friend codes could well be different for each game, as with the DS, though details are yet to be released on future Wii online games.

On the whole both Mario Strikers and the Wii as an online gaming platform impressed, offering accessibility and the potential for hilarious fun. Finally, an entire generation of consoles is online, and quickly the past is feeling like a very different world indeed.

Should be getting this game in around 7 days now..CANT WAAAIT Big Grin
What, Strikers Charged?

I'm not a big fan of soccer, myself, but when Mario adds a touch of hilarity, I may just pick this one up!
Mario Srikers is a pretty series that started out towards the end of GCN. the 1P mode gets kinda repetitive but from what it looks like on the sequel its a lot better especially now you choose your sideskicks and even your sidekicks have super shots. another thing is that its wi-fi enabled, so thats always a plus.

man, lucky Europeans get this game a month before use....

Lucky...
at least you can have random matching online instead of friend-code only...
this barely makes up for all the games they got later than us. just look at it this way we get Super Smawsh Bros. Brawl first.
this'll be a great game for online, i didn't play much soccer until i moved to germany and that's when i got interested, mario adds flare to soccer `oleCool

will it be online enabled in 7 days? if so u MUST start a thread after u've played it

It will be be, it's just that it's region locked.
there'd only be a few ppl who would have the game so theres no point.
Eurogamer Review 8/10

Of course, like most sports games, Mario Strikers is best played against friends - up to four, with decent Wi-Fi options. The single player game is strong enough to warrant a purchase too, especially as Mario Strikers finally breaks the recent drought of Wii releases. As the most original, admittedly surreal, take on the sport for years, Mario Strikers is a gem of a game and manages to flawlessly meet Nintendo’s brief of appealing to absolutely everybody.
