i recently put up a Machoke for a pokemon that i need, thinking that whoever saw would think that it would evo into Machamp after the trade. well no one was biting at the chance so i took it down. thats when the Machamp started to evo. and i hit me that i dont actually have to trade with someone to get the pokemon that evo during trades. now to ensure that the glitch works, you should put up some ridiculous request like a haunter for some legendary pokemon.

Of course it's much easier now to find someone to trade with but if you just want to do it on the fly then this is a great solution! : D
I knew this quite long ago, as I did get a Golem from it, also, if you keep it there to long, GTS may take it, and act like you never put up a Pokemon, thats why Im scared of putting anything on GTS.
thats what i was thinking but if you request something that no one will trade for then you should be alright, but you never know.
I was trying to trade my Uxie for a palkia <_< and i was scared so I took it off.
lol. that wouldnt have been a bad trade, you just wouldnt have an Uxie anymore

How exactly do you do this glitch? because I put my Graveler up for trade and took it down about a minute later, but it didn't evolve
So you just set it up for trade, then take it right back down? because thats exactly what I did but nothing happened... maybe they patched it?

and where do you go to trade with friends instead of just random people at the GTS?
Go to the Pokemon Center Wenis, then go down the stairs and you can trade with your friends in there.
I put my Rhydon up for trade at the GTS while it was holding the Protector so I could have a Rhyperior, but it didn't work.
