In the newest Nintendo Power issue, in their Virtual Console section were they talk about the games that came out that month. There is a snippet that talks about Paper Mario and why you should get it. This means we will be seeing this adored 2.5D RPG sometime very soon!
Personally I can’t wait to pick up this game! Being one of the best Nintendo 64 games out there it’ll fir in perfectly with the other great games out at the moment. Not to mention it’s a great time to release it, after people have gotten the chance to play Super Paper Mario, many will jump at this opportunity to play the original game. Looks like I’m going to be playing with more paper very soon!

i guess what they're doing it releasing the N64 versions of games around the time the wii game comes out. so thats good. that means we could see Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 around PBR's release and Super Smash Bros. around SSBB's release.
Maybe, that's debatable though.
There hasn't been a Starfox Wii yet, or a Mario Kart Wii, or Mario. Unless they are doing it with DS games as well?
we wont see mario kart until 2008 and star fox 2008 or 2009. Super Mario 64 was a classic so of course it was released before Super Mario Galaxy which would release this holiday.

This is great news. I never completed Paper Mario. I got stuck on Chapter 3 (I think). The one with Great Tubba Blubba. I kept getting lost in the forest. And, I'll admit, I got scared of the woods, too. I don't knwo what it is, but it's happened to me many times. That part in Luigi's Mansion where the lightning hit the mansion, and everything went dark? i couldn't play that spot for 3 weeks, I was so scared. -_-
