"Also in Japan consider this: during the last console generation for GameCube, less than half of those systems were set up in the living room. Today with Wii it's over 75 percent set up right there in the main room of Japanese households. Something is clearly happening."
and its true for me as well this is the first console set up in the main room of our house...is it true for you folks, too.
When I still lived in Illinois, I kept my NES, SNES, and N64 in my basement, since that's where I hung out the most and did all my gaming.
When we moved to Kentucky, I bought my Gamecube, and kept it on top of my TV in my room. Same goes with my Wii. However, when I'm at college, I keep it on top of my dresser next to my TV.
EDIT: LOL. Van down by the river.
Well whoop-dee-freaking-doo! XD
Well i have it in my bedroom but i would have it in the main room if that TV had AV Jacks! lol

La-de-FREAKIN-da! kekeke ^__^
Chris Farley FTW!
I keep mine in my room, on the floor. And who are the 3 people that said in a van down by the river...
Definately basement! I would prefer to play it in my room but my 62" screen TV is in the basement and is great to play it on.
i play in my room in privacy. but my parents said we're getting an HD TV in the basement so i'll play it there during the summer.
Mine is set up in my bedroom. In front of my couch and beside my PC and a shelf above all my old systems.
My Wii is the left side of TV.Below the TV, there's DVD recorder. So,I have three remote controllers in my room.!
right now mine is in the living room, and unless I get a new TV for myself then it is going to be staying there for a while
still cant believe you got a wii, its not the same around here without you struggling to find one

Mine would be below my tv (since its on the wall) in my room. But i do bring it into my living room quite abit

Nope, to the rest of my family, a video game is a video game, they won't let me play it/set it up in the living room.
mine is in the room across from mine the "game/movie/entertainment" room

Has anyone had any problems with overheating your Wii? If so I would suggest a cooler location.
How come the choice "Still at the store waiting for me to buy it" isn't a choice?
Me and Dark whould greatly appreciate this choice :p
But when I do get it I'm putting it upstairs in my room (The whole upper floor is my room

) I'm buying a new T.V. considering we only have 2. The 27" living room T.V. (Currently in my room, due to renovation) and the other is a measly 20" (maybe even 19) in my old room (now brother's)
Everyone spends their time in my room.. considering almost everything else is still in renovation.. hopefully it won't stay that way when renovation's over >.<
But when I do get it I'm butting it upstairs in my room >.<
butting it...
ummm, i like the wii as much as the next guy but i dunno about butting it

, oh well) in my room on tuesday when I get my laptop... I was going to have it today but Best Buy doesn't accept 'starter' checks that don't have my name and adress on it, so I have to wait until tuesday to withdraw my money then since banks are closed on Sundays and Monday is Memorial day
its always something wenis...good luck

Because hardly any Wiis are actually at any stores -- once they get there, *POOF!* gone. It's kinda hard for them to wait for you when there are none, you know what I'm saying? :-/
I had to get in line at like 4:30 in the morning to get mine...
