i totally wanted to say that first, but it looks like someone there beat me to it...ah wells
i wonder...if i were to buy a PS3 and find that screw, and take it out...would my PS3 fail to work again? i mean...if it's such a special screw to cost that much (a whopping 1/6 of the price), then it must be super duper important to the functionality of the system...or are they just screwing with our minds?

It's odd that since there is an actual part number, people didn't just google it and find out what it was, but I guess flaming the PS3 was more important then getting down to the truth.
I did google the "part" and found it for $38.40 and it supposedly is used for the products that I have attached a picture of their listings.
