I work at Big W (Like K-Mart) at the entertainment area and today I was rearranging the games top 10 walls and the sheet where I got my information from said that we weren't supposed to rearrange the GBA games as the store seems to be trying to phase them out, this was also the same for the Xbox. I wonder what this means, just Big W? Or is there a GBA 2 coming sooner than we think?
Are nintendo even making another Gba??
no it just means GBA is dead compared to DS, and no, ninty-wii, nintendo said that the Game Boy brand is dead because it doesn't appeal to a broad enough market

You've got to be kidding me. I was looking at the DS games in Target yesterday (they keep their GBA games right next to the DS games) and I saw a boy about 13 and a 4 year old girl each purchase a game... Lol

Yeah GBA is still in, well not exactly the GBA system, but some people have DS and purchase GBA games for their DS and such! Also im still into the GBA im currently playing Kingdom Hearts: CoM! Big Grin
it's pretty obvious that new GBA games aren't as numerous as before, but that doesn't make it dead. any respectable store still carries XBox, Gamecube and PS2 games despite the sequel systems. i do agree with the store though that it's phasing out. it's inevitable.

as far as a GBA2 coming out as opposed to a DS2, it's unlikely. Nintendo apparently prefers the interactive gaming to classic multi-button systems, so the DS2 is more likely in the works before another gameboy, although i wouldn't put it past Nintendo to simply make a new Gameboy with a new control scheme to it. it's Nintendo. when have they ever done something we expected?

Nintendo never said that. When the DS was about to release, they said that would be working on another gameboy. Of course that might have changed by now, but no annocement has been made.

O goody Big Grin
In no way would Nintendo's second, and most recognizable pillar (to us that remember the name) would die out within a year or two of it's counterpart - the DS - arriving. Please note that the DS can play GBA Games.

EDIT: Also, moved to the proper board.
cough cough,

they admitted in an interview that the "Game Boy brand" is dead

I don't have a source it was in a magazine interview i have

Also, as for the "any respectable store" thing, the PS2 has been evolved since november, GBA since 2 years ago. but its true that in Jappy, GBA outsold PS3!
Go GBA!
They were great systems, long live the GB name.
Never will the GBA retire!!! The SP was awesome, but you gotta love the simplicity of the GBA. It was and still is ideal for beggining Nintendo fans, like myself six years ago.
