Hey guys i was wondering if its possible to connect my wii to my pcmonitor? So i can play my games using it as a tv replacement. It will be a massive help if you give me some info

Thanks
You'll either need a monitor that has a tv input like composite/component
or a TV tuner card with a composite/component input
all this monitor has is a yellow hole...and the fat thing for my pc cable to go in

that yellow hole is a composite hole! it'll work!
what do i plug into the yellow hole?
the yellow cable that came with your wii. the red and white plug into the speakers if they fit
ok done that...but nothing comes on the screen..there is definitly power going to the monitor....and that yellow hole wouldnt be there for no reason....hmmm i mite try one more time
how do i change the view so i can see on the screenhats going through the yellow hole bit?...bcoz at the moment it just shows my pc screen which is a sperate cable
Well ive plugged the yellow cable in and turned my wii on...but it still shows like my msn n wiiloaded and stuff...how do i change it to view my wii...and plus im not sure this yellow slot is for putting that component cable in..mayby im wasting my time lol
the moniter is configured to read what's coming from the PC input cable, not the "yellow hole" video input. he needs to tell it to read the video input instead of the PC input and wants to know how to do that
i do not know how to do that...

You need to change the input on the PC monitor. What kind of monitor do you have? You could try hitting the Menu button and checking for an "input" option. Just FYI, very few PC monitors have that yellow hole (at least in the US), so you are very lucky indeed.
Lol well im hardly lucky since this darn thing wont work

o and thanks for your help everyone but im still not there...My monitor came with my com...the make of my com is E-sytem.Ive also tried the menu button all that is,is some visual options etc
turn the monitor off and disconnect the PC cable, then turn it back on and see if your wii shows up?
Tryed and failed

and since a young 14 year old boy has wasted his day trying different things to make this work...you'll send me a tuner so it will work in the post thanks

lmao
A TV Tuner ain't that expensive. You just need a PC that can use it at a decent speed.

Tuner cards rule. I use mine to split my video signal between TV and PC monitor, that way if the wife wants to watch TV and I want to play a game we don't have to fight over the TV

how much are they? and where can i find one?
Well mine is an ATI All-in-Wonder, which I like a lot. They can be bought from any computer electronics store (or online) at various prices.
Here's the one I have:
ATI All-in-Wonder 9800 PRO

It's certainly not the cheapest solution, but IMHO the best. If you don't use your PC for games, there are certainly much cheaper versions (ATI or not) that you could go with that will just support basic graphics (not high-end games) and enable you to have your Wii/whatever input going to your monitor.
I got one for £20 at my local computer store, but it doesn't have a component input, which you'd probably want
