Wow. After watching the PS3 video, I took a look at the Wii version. As soon as I seen it I thought they had most definitly mixed it up. Then I sin the plus pad appear over the players heads.
Im suprised by the detail that is in the Wii version. Amazing.
Its looking very promising in the graphics section for this game.
Im also excited to try out playing with just the Wii remote. I may do it when im feeling lazy.

Despite all its additions and Wii-specific content, Madden 08 is still a tough one to rate overall. The game makes great use of motion with better-implemented and easier to pull off moves than 07, it has more modes, far more multiplayer both locally and now online, and is generally superior in nearly every regard. On the flipside, Wii’s second Madden still suffers from a ton of last-generation bugs, with everything from moronic AI and cheap pass defense to disappearing pass icons and odd camera glitches that cloak the entire playfield in blur effects. Madden 08 isn’t nearly as polished as it should be, but it offers a ton of great gameplay despite its flaws, and that’s where you’ll need to balance just how much you need a new Madden, or how forgiving you are in the gameplay department. The running game is still dominant over defense and passing strategies, the Wii-mote and nunchuk make on-ground players simply deadly with the amount of moves available, and the newly-added Player Weapons, Big Hit 2.0, context-sensitive Power Moves, and Superstar mode are huge leaps for the series, while simple programming errors bring the experience down from where it could potentially be on Wii. Granted there’s a ton in Madden 08, but it can still be a grab-bag of both good and bad.

TBH i have yet to find out if it is better on a ps3. id assume so just because of the system
anyways, i got it for the wii yesterday becuase my bf is a BIG football fan. initially he was kind of annoyed that i had bought it because he hates that you have to buy a new one every year since you have to keep up with the new NFL players. (understandable but 50$ a year isnt so bad- its what to do with the last years games thats BAD!!!)
to make a long story even longer than needed, we picked up the game from reserves yesterday AM as soon as gamestop opend (10AM). since 11AM till roughly 10PM my bf stayed home, didnt go to work, and sat infront of the TV playing this game. i felt like a total mom asking every 3 seconds if he wanted something to drink or snack. i later had to bring itin to him and rest it next to him on the couch so he can eat and drink and play all at the same time lmao. needless to say, im ready for parenthood already! blarg! (whats ironic is hes 12 years older than i am!!!! haha)
the game is awesome. i played it for the first hour and its very easy to learn. they have the tutorial version which of course i did first and kicked ass through. i then midway through the tutorials, went right into the game playing the best team there is J-E-T-S jets jets JETS!!!!!! against miami (one hell of a game comming up! im psyched about kick off next week when they play new england!!! ILL BE THERE B*TCHES!!!! HAHA)
i thought the graphics were amazing. sometimes sports games on nintendo havent been all that great. i loved them on my xbox and ps2 but rarely liked them on nintendo systems (except tecmo football tahts classic)
i like how realistic it looked which was a total shocker IMO. i expected i dont know....maybe a less than stellar appearance. either way i dont regret getting this game. i thought it was a ton of fun (esp party mode!) and enjoyed it ALOT!
theres one draw back that took me a few moments to realize. online play- anyone else think its kinda stupid? i thought it would be like strikers where you have a FC but apparently i was wrong. you have to search for someone of the user name if you want to play a buddy of yours online. kinda difficult if say someone has the same name as you right? ours is kinda hard to clone though

and that is my review on madden and how i thought of it on the wii. im about to go to IGN or youtube to see ps3 reviews of madden 08 just to see the difference. i will say "none" by the naked eye but im sure on a different TV and setup it will be much greater.
Very nice review on the game, makes actually interested in the game. But like you the buying of the new one each year with updates is a pain. Most reviews say 08 is the best in the series yet. ON IGN, the Wii version is better than the PS3 one, and 360 one is slightly better than the Wii one. So it depends on your preference.

I found it quite, mediocre on for the PS3 version.
I think the 360 version is supposed to be better..hopefully.
