G4 tv did a special report from a vegas trade show (CES, i think) and they were showing wireless HDMI stuff. but no list price or release dates, all TBA Sad
A couple of my cousins own one, but I don't. Like LMX I don't really need one now.
no HDs here, and I don't think any of us ever plan on buying one in the near (or quite possibly even the distant) future.

im so used to watching my 13" in my dorm room, that the regular big screens we have throughout my family's house are big enough for me to get by on during the summer.

plus the fact that we wouldn't waste the money on something when what we've got works perfectly fine.

Your lucky Lemon, if I waited for prices to drop where I'd be happy with them, I'd never buy anything new.

It's called patience.

Why the heck would I go out and vomit cash out for an upgraded version of something I have. My current TV works fine and I have no necessary need for a HD TV.

That'd be like me going out and buying a Blu-Ray player.

I apologize, I didn't write that to be a jerk. I was being serious. I'm very good about looking up info and finding the best deals, but when there's something I want, I usually find a way to get it.

So do I if I want something bad enough. But HD TV just isn't a prime concern for me. I have no real care for what it offers and when I do get an XB360 and PS3 I still won't care.

I'll get one in a year or so probably... if I'm lucky.

For those of you blubbering about HDTV prices, I recently bought my HDTV for under $350 with tax. It's a Sanyo 30" Widescreen that can display in 1080i (and everything below). It's got 2 component inputs, 1 HDMI, 1 composite, 1 s-video, and even a digital cable coax input that I'll probably never use. Found it at Wal-mart. I wasn't even looking for an HDTV, I just happened to walk past and see the price on it and almost dropped a load in my pants. So I bought it. ^_____^

Moral of the story: there are good deals out there, you just have to look for them.
they are definately affordable now, but there are so many different types: plasma, lcd, dlp, etc.

plus the number of component/composite/hdmi inputs needed vary so wildly from set to set

its tough to pull the trigger, IMO
