Ok, so here is my problem...
I just got Animal Crossing Wild World and i have been trying to get it connected to WFC.... But when i search for an access point, it says that my router is not compatible....
My dad manly handles the internet connections so i will eventually ask him, but i would like to have a good idea of what to do!
This is my router -
Netgear MBR814v3
And its over a High Speed DSL...
Please help! I wanna play with you!!

First, you need to make sure you're picking up the right router (stand very near it when you search), and then try to connect to it (it helps if you have the SSID). Give us the exact message it is giving you. Also, see if it has a little lock icon on it, as it may need a password (depending on how your dad set it up).
Enter your web browser and enter into the address bar "192.168.1.1" and go to the wireless settings. switch the wireless mode to "802.11b only"
works for most problems involving compatibility
Ok, so here is the message that it gives me...
"The access points security seffings are not supported by the nintendo DS."
And then it tells me to ether call or go to the web site...
So dose that mean that it needs to be changed?
read what I said above then while your in the options turn off your WEP key
BTW if your router came with a software CD use that instead but I think netgear use the browser method
This is what my routers settings screen looks like:
Right now as you can see I'm on the Encryption page where you have to enter a 13 character WEP key. I've used the key "mrmetroidowns" as an example. Just turn this setting off
Also notice what I've entered into my browser.
"192.168.1.1"
If it asks you for a username and password, your username is "admin" and your password is "password"
call 1-800-255-3700 thats what i normally call when any problem occurs. if they say ur router is still not compatible all hope isnt lost: i had ur same problem with my wifi connector, all of a sudden one day (when trying to connect with animal crossing) it said there was interferance and all this BS. i called nintendo and they said its not compatible with aol. but that whole period when i was using it, i had aol. so nintendo isnt ALWAYS right. if u think those r two different thing? guess again cause its very similar, even the same game is involved
sorry i cant help with this one...it should work
Your router can use many methods to secure the wireless connection. It might be using one that the DS does not support.
From the DS site:
In order to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you will need to either switch to WEP security, or remove the security setting of your router when connecting with the Nintendo DS.
Let me know if that helps, and if you find this helpful feel free to give me a rep.
