I know Nintendo said they would remove the Shaymin glitch, but I'm not sure about the Darkrai one.

hey, is it possible, through a series of trades of course, to get my pokemon from the original red and blue onto diamond? Or is there a break in the chain of games somewhere?
There is a break in the chains when the games went from GBC to GBA, so no unfortunately. But you could get you original team back in GR/LG and transport it to D/P

I just caught Azelf. But Uxie is being a jerk and won't stay in the Pokeballs.

Uxie and Azelf don't run away. Mesprit is the only one that does. He's just hyaving trouble because he's wasting Pokeballs on Uxie because it won't get caught.
In fact, it took me three resets to catch Uxie. It has a very low catch rate, so you just have to be patient. I'd suggest loading up on Dusk and Timer balls, so if it's at night, I'd use the dusk balls. If you use a bunch of Pokemon that just chip a little away at Uxies HP, stock up on Timer balls, since they become more effective the longer the battle goes on.
