I might get a polar white DS soon and I'm going to get 2 games. I'm definitely getting Nintendogs

I second what Cloud said. I'd get either of those games over Nintendogs. Pokemon will give you the longer game out of the two so I'd go with that over Mario Kart though I love Mario Kart.
In my oppinion mario kart for the ds is over rated. The controlls are kinda iffy. I'd get pokemon first. and see if any of your friends have mariokart so you can test it out.

If you're passionate about Nintendogs, you can get quite a bit of play out of it. As for MKDS or pokemon, I'd go with pokemon. I have them both and prefer Pokemon, and MKDS can get VERY frustrating.

I say go with pokemon it is good single and online I too have many hours on my diamond (dont want to talk about it *hids in corner in sham*) but really its a great game
I didn't even start the battle tower, there is a lot of fun to be had, but Nintendogs.. MKDS is really good! Get both !! >_<
i was thinking about getting Nintendogs, but you cant train your dog to sick ppl, so i left it. i have both Mario Kart and Pokemon. great games.
