Microsoft chairman Bill Gates has offered further hints at the direction Microsoft's gaming division is taking, and if his comments at last week's All Things D conference are anything to go by, Gates wants to outdo Nintendo's Wii.
"Software is doing vision and so, you know, imagine a game machine where you're just going to pick up the bat and swing it or the tennis racket and swing it", he said.
A bit like Wii then, Bill? "No, that's not it. You can't pick up your tennis racket. And swing it." Oh, right.

If [stupid] people took out their TVs with a small, relatively light Wiimote, imagine the damage they'll do with a bat or tennis racket, if M$ really does plan on trying to create a game system that uses real sports equipment...
Horrible, horrible, horrible, terrible idea IMHO, even if you don't consider the damage that would be caused by careless players. Who the hell would want to have a dozen different controllers for one system? If I want to swing a real baseball bat, I got to a batting cage or something. [/rant]

How about fixing the POS hardware inside the Xbox 360 Bill? I'm ready to get rid of the 360 and just have my Wii, because I redefined games to myself, I'm tired of stressing out and getting aggravated about how i can only move the joystick so fast to duck undercover in the next shooter I get. I learned that fun is the best, not graphics, and superior gameplay, and a better experience, and Wii is the only thing that can offer that.
