I'm thinking of purchasing some N64 games such as Yoshi's Story and Goldeneye 007, should I get these two and/or some others?

I'm assuming you mean not on the Virtual Console and the actual N64. If so,
Super Mario 64 is a must-get. (You must get it on the VC or you N64)
Ocarina of Time (obviously), Super Smash Bros. (I'm still playing this with my bro.)
I'm trying to think of others.
Umm...
Donkey Kong 64 was also good.
Oh yeah -- Perfect Dark. (I can't think of any others, so this is basically my list.)

If you mean on the VC, however, just wait and see which ones come out and which ones don't. Read the game description and make the decision yourself.

Super mario 64- have the DS version
OoT- Of course I have it!
SSB- Have it, love it
DK64- Have it, first console video game ever for me, still love it

Get Yoshi Story and that Kirby game for the N64. Crystal shards i think it is called. It is sweet.

Not many N64 Mario Party games were good, but I enjoyed MP5. I own Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, and I can safely say that they are highly addicting. I couldn't stop once I started! :>_<:

Oh yeah, I remember Crystal Shards! That game was pure pwnage. (At the time, anyway.)

Perfect Dark is a must imo. i claim it as the best FPS ever. the same addicting gameplay of Goldeneye with an enormous weapon selection and the use of extremely editable bots for multiplayer. you can basically play an 8-man game by yourself and never know the difference. bots can even be put on special modes like "pacifist", which never kills you, but runs around and disarms any enemy. quite entertaining to say the least

if you want a pokemon game, look for Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2.

I'm buying them on N64 because
A) who knows whether or not they'll pop up on the VC
B) They're cheaper (sometimes)
C) They take up less memory, thus reducing the number of SD cards I will have to buy
I still will but from the VC, I'm just looking for good N64 games to see if I can find any for less than $10. I'm looking forward to buying some on the Vc, however.

okay. you brought up a good point, but they wont release all the good games in the first year.

Agreed. I'll probably get quite a few VC games in the near future.

i'm waiting to get VC games until i get a black wii, cause you cant transfer them from system to system like you can on the PS3 or 360.

It could take a while to come out. I hope not though, b/c I want a black controller. Maybe I'll buy super smash bros for the VC just to relive the fun of that game

um i would also get Ocareana of time and Mjoras mask for the 64

I'd agree about Yoshi's Story.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a great one, too. Didn't complete it 100%, since some of the shards are hard to find (i.e. in a crevice between ledges, so you'll have to drop down and then float back up quickly so you don't die)

However, its a very good game, so you should consider picking it up.
