Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the final installment of the multibillion-dollar Harry Potter book series, hits bookshelves in late July, bringing to a close author J.K. Rowling's publishing giant, a literary juggernaut that has generated an astonishing $3.5 billion in book sales worldwide. What will Potter fans do without Harry?

Fear not. Warner Bros Entertainment and Universal Orlando Resorts are ready to fill the gap with a Harry Potter theme park, scheduled to open at Universal's Islands of Adventure, in Orlando, in 2009. "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" will feature locations familiar to readers of the Potter books, including the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft, shops in Hogsmeade, and the Forbidden Forest.

At this time, no one knows the exact size of the theme park or how many attractions it will contain, but early comments from Universal suggest that no expense will be spared to recreate the world familiar to fans of the book. The fifth film in the Potter series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, hits movie theaters on July 11.

a harry potter THEME PARK? *dies*

hm...i didnt click the link, but imma speculate on rides...
1. 3D simulator ride - you're caught in the branches of the whomping willow
2. rollercoaster - flying car ride to Hogwarts
3. thrill ride - through the Enchanted Maze
4. water ride (+aquarium?) - involving Merpeople and a shark-headed guy

and ill probly think of more after i post this, but im bored now
if u want to see Hogwarts come to Saint Louis college of pharmacy we call everyone by there years we seperate into four groups and yes we have evil teachers that try and kill you and we have a really nice dean whos old hehe and im a second year now! (and LZ smells)
I've been to a place where you go as a group and go through a bunch of rooms/areas, and actors play thieves, bad-guys, heroes, etc. and the group can either be part of the action, or bystanders that either find alternate ways out of rooms/help the hero.

Maybe they'd put in a virtual ride, like you'd have to hold off Voldemort's blasts and save the body of your friend, like in GoF, or find that trophy in the Enchanted Maze before anyone else.
WHYYYYYYYY?????!!!!
it looks so f***ing cool.
