I'm not sure if this is old news but i havent seen this around here so here it goes.
i was just lookin at the coming soon list for the DS on the gamestop page when i ran into this, Assassin's Creed DS. Could this be real?? i asked my self. So to sort things out i did the first thing that came to mind, CALL GAMESTOP, and so i did. The guy said that this DS title was up for preorder and then i asked "is this date confirmed" and he said he wasnt sure about that but to keep checkin in, then i just hung up on him. So wut do you guys think yes, no, maybe so, good, bad, wuteva....

Bad idea, real or not. Assassin's Creed DS would be about as fun as Elder Scrolls IV DS (ie. none, because the game would lack everything that makes the 'real' version worth playing).

Well you never know. And who's to say that bringing God of War to PSP won't ruin it. I'd say they're fully capable of making a great Assasin's Creed game on DS, but I don't know if they will or won't.
Looking at what the DS is capable of.. I say yes, this can be good.

Well, the thing is.
God of War is on PS2. And PSP is nearly on par with the PS2. So they are developing for similar platforms.
But Assassin's Creed... I fear it would lose to much in a transition from next gen hardware to a not so powerful handheld. Especially since the DS uses cartridges still.
Why they put it on ds? It just does'nt make sense.It would be much better on Wii

Yeah, it is. I'm just saying... I don't mind ports. But Assassin's Creed would be one of those ports that gets a severe downgrade if it is done. Make a special Assassin's Creed game for Wii and DS if need be. Seperate from the 360 one.
It would have to be, but it mighr turn out good, we have to wait and see.

I mean look at the ninja gaiden game that's coming out, it looks killer and they're some pretty crazy moves and stuff in Ninja Gaiden so why couldn't they make an Assassins Creed games?

oof..this sounds awful. What's the point?
Not sure if there is a point. Ubisoft have said nothing so we have no reason to believe that this is even true.

It wouldn't work! And if Ubisoft are making this.I suggest they stop now.
Their probably just trying to make more money by puting it on different platforms, yet I think it would be a waiste to put it on the ds (no offence) just because it is a handheld and doesn't have the power to play an advanced game. They should just make it an exlusive for the 360, or make it for the ps3 also.
