Like I said, if we're talking gameplay wise I only like shinies if they look cooler than their normal versions.
Which is why I proudly use my Shiny Pikachu, he looks cooler and is my favourite Pokemon.
Beyond visual appearence the two are the same.
Shiny Latios & Latias look cool as well. I haven't really had luck in finding any shiny pokeon in a while.

You can trade somebody for one or you have a 1 in 8192 chance of finding one in the wild.
also hatching them (same odds as in the wild even if breeding shiny)
i've found a shiny oddish. at first i said cool, but then i realised its just an oddish. if i knew it was the next wild encounter would be a shiny. i wouldve gone somewhere with a cool pokemon.

i agree that shiny raikou looks better. i wished that the shiny trait could be passed on through breeding, cause then i'd have the cool ones.

People often go hunting for Shinies with the Pokemon Radar. It becomes easier finding a Shiny Pokemon when you chain one sort of Pokemon.
ya cuz then when a shiny is there it sparkles diffrent then normal
I still dont know how to use the Pokemon Radar.
