The ESRB website typically reveals upcoming titles for the Virtual Console, and though it's by no means any sort of surprise, it looks like Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will soon be coming to a Wii near you.

Very nice, too bad I don't live in the old US of A, but generally EU Virtual Console games come only a week or two later if they are big titles like this.

I loved the Sonic games and downloaded Sonic the Hedgehog off the VC (as you do) and played it to death. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 should provide me a nice new challenge.

What do you guys think of this news?

I couldn't care less--I've got the Sonic Mega collection for the GCN

It has a pretty large base of games, including all of the VC Sonic games out (including Mean Bean Machine), and now announced (sonic 2). I got it used for $10. MUCH better than $8 a pop I feel

I haven't gotten a chance to download Sonic. But I will eventually...

just found out its Sonic the Hedgehog 3.

If I ever feel like I need a Sonic fix I'll probably just follow noodle's lead and but the GC Mega Collection.

Thatt's great news, although getting the Sonic game colection isn't a bad idea either.
