Starting this July Hudson plans to release TG16 games on the Virtual Console in Australia. Hudson plans to release 60 TG16 games this year in Australia.

I think it's great that this happening. Now Australia can enjoy some of the great TG16 games we've received. This could also means that more TG16 games are on the way because we don't even have 60 games yet.

I guess they didn't want Australia to feel left out with the VC content.

Well hopefully they feel the same when they release Japan only games on the American VC.
