Well if this laptop is still on sale monday I am going to get it. but i've been reading reviews, and it said that the version of windows vista is a 32-bit and not a 64-bit. Im just wondering what the differences are between the two? By the way, the processor is an AMD Turion 64

Almost nothing uses 64-bit, but if you have programs made for it, it can be much faster. You'll be hard pressed to find ANY computers than have the 64 bit version of Vista included, as it's just not popular.

I'll also point out that your processor is capable of it (as is mine), but you won't see benefit without programs made for it, which again, few are.
Alright thanks. Now pray that the laptop is still on sale on monday, because thats when i can deposit my money in to the bank lol
32-bit is what you're most likely using now
64-bit (essentially) allows for larger variables

64-bit would be a good choice IF there was enough software for it, but developers haven't really pulledtheir fingers out to get on it. You'll be happy to know HL2 plays on 64-bit though ^^
