Just checked out Halo 2 for the PC and saw it was priced at $49.99. I just think this is totally bizzare. Is the game that much better on the PC or is this a way for Microsoft to take everyone for a ride?
People are willing to pay that price who don't already have XBox and even those that already do. I would get it since I never got the chance to play it for that reason but they (M$) are really going to far by making you have to have Windows Vista just to play it. T_T
I have Vista on one computer so that's no big deal, but I wonder how many gamers (ages 10-25) would raise their hand and say they'd never played Halo 2.  This game would be cool for maybe $29.99, but $49.99 seems steep to me.

-----edit

btw it's a good game, but for whatever reason, I didn't find it as challenging as 1
I think it'll still be a good game, It'll get the reborn treatment that Halo one got.

There'll be a good online following and a few mods popping up to make it a worthwhile purchase
Yeah, I saw it today. And my brother was like why don't you get it? I was like, Microsoft screwed all of us gamers over with the Vista only deal, I would get it but forget Microsoft and their crappy world domination.
I have never played halo 2 on the xbox. but i do play halo combat evolved for the pc alot. so i think i am going to go and buy halo 2 for pc. the price does not bother me i just don't like the fact you have to pay to use the Cross-platform gameplay and some other gold member features. but silver member is free for those who don't want to pay micro$oft more money.
meh i dont think so i already have it for xbox
who would have the advantage with this game on multiplayer...a person with a xbox controller or someone with a keyboard and mouse?
I do know there was an experiment on this and usually the console won which seems wierd i know since you have more control with the pc. But who knows i personally think it is all on who is playing not the machine.

i find the keyboard and mouse to be alot easer to move around and aim with. but on halo 2 for pc you can use a xbox 360 controller but when u do that it turns on aim assist which make it a little unfair for the people playing with keyboard and mouse who don't get to use aim assist.

49.99?

I saw it for like 20$. O.O

$20 were was that at. i think you may have been looking at halo combat evolved for pc

I guess they can charge extra for people who don't have an xbox, or people who want the new content (few new maps and I believe map creator).

I'm no retard. It said in BIG letters: Halo 2, and at the top: Games for Windows Vista.

It was at Future shop I think. I'm pretty sure it was cheaper then 49.99.

hey no one said you were a retard. just the game is a couple of weeks old. and that would be a bit cheap for such a new game (to the pc).
Ya it would be, but it might happen, it matters if the store sells lots of copies of the game, and I guess it cost 49,99 because it is a new game on the PC and it might have more stuff then Halo 2 on the Xbox.
