This is the Sony PS3 GunCon 3 controller that is reported to function just like a Nintendo Wii Wiimote or at least have similar abilities.

Many PlayStation 3 gamers will be looking forward to getting their hands
on one of these GunCon 3 controllers that relies on a pair of markers you put on top of your TV, they are then detected by a camera in the muzzle of the gun.

The controller also has two analog sticks and six buttons, not sure if that could match the SIXAXIS though.

We have no official word on a North American release date but it is rumored to be releasing in Japan by end of 2007 with the Gun and game Time Crisis 4.

Sounds like copyright infringement to me! But then again, Nintendo didn't do anything about the Sixaxis controller so...
But it doesn't sound as cool as the Wii-mote, right?

Woohoo the wiimote got bred with a zapper to bring out this orange beauty. Seriously though, add-on peripherals will never match the popularity of a bundled controller.
?_?is that the actually pic of it? it looks so cheap.
probably a prototype.
It looks like a prototype to me.
Well it looks like something out of a cereal box Toungue

This add-on wont affect the sales of the Wii in anyway based on the simple fact its just an add-on,seems interesting though.
It looks similar to the gun controllers I had for the Sega Saturn. Whenever a new "gun" comes out for any system I'm generally really excited, but if this one could possible mimick what I'm doing to the actual game then that would be cool...unless it shows everytime I put the controller down to go fetch a beer. Maybe I could get some six-axis thing for the beer too, that way I could be a real bad ass crime stopper/zombie killer/nazi smasher.
^ Lol nice idea there Toungue
looks plastic lol!
Looks like the toy I burned with a lighter yesterday...ehem.
I think it's been said before, but I'm guessing this is a prototype. It looks a little tinkertoy otherwise.
