so i take this old 8 gig HD, couple 64 mb ram simms, two old cd writers, NIC, pentium 3 motherboard, tower case, etc...
anywho, i get it all together and i keep getting this NTLDR error mssage, which i think means i have BIOS issues, i gave up, will work on it later

It's easily repairable.

All you need to do is pop that 8GB beast of a HDD into any computer already installed with any OS and reformat it. Problem solved.
Now back to the real issue: CHANGE YOUR BOOT PRIORITY! Dude. What were you thinking? Boot from the Linux install CD and just let the Linux installer erase that disk! Two birds with one stone right there!
