Seeing as how the DS Lite won't play GB and GBC games, why doesn't nintendo start pumping these bitches out on VC?  Heck, make them downloadable to the DS so you can take them on the go.  Super Mario Land 2 was some good stuff, and Donkey Kong for GB is one of my favorite all time games. It's not like it would be hard, make a Super GB channel, and D/L games to it for $4-5.
good idea, i bet they do that eventually, after they get through the HUGE back catalog of games for every other system
I dont have a DS but I always thought u could download them illegally to your DS using ROMS.

Yea, I think it's a great idea. It's a similar idea with Sony is doing with PS1 games.

Harmonica you must have read my mind! Since i heard of the VC thats one of the first things i thought about!

I don't see that happening. Those games could get away with awful resolution because of a small screen....getting blown up on today's HD monitors with over 20 times the res would look awful.

Like Super Mario Bros? At a few dollars they'd still rake in the dough. It takes very little effort to put one of those together, and if it sells a few copies it's profit. It would be stupid to not try it.

not really

It wouldn't look too horrible, I mean with that GBA player on the GC it didn't look bad...but I think they should have something that let's you download them, then transfer them to your DS.

Well yeah i remember pokemon stadium when u can play ur gb games on the tv hope they do the same for the wii and hope u can download it for ds Ignorance is bliss

i would pay to play links awakening on my tv
You can still buy GBA SPs so that's not an option
But GB and GBC games are kind of hard to find now, and all it would really be doing is sending more money Nintendo's way. They really have nothing to lose in doing this IMO.
Still, GBA can play GB and GBC games... Micro and DS, however do not.

Also, most people mention the GB dock under the gamecube and the Super Game Boy adapter on the SNES. the games will not look bad people (except maybe SML1).

my thought is Nintendo might make a sort of VC disk for DS where you could DL GB and GBC titles
thats why when i bought my ds i didnt sell my advance cause then i wouldnt be able to play those old classics

I was going to say "You can play them on a DS with an emulator"
Seems like everyone overlooked your post?

If I remember correctly there is also a GB emulator that runs just fine on the Wii in GC mode.

Harmonica u have officially earned my title of most commonsensic person on wiiloaded. great idea Big Grin
It is a good idea. Nintendo has nothing to lose, as Kindrik said.
