The internet is free - but not for long. New/lazy Nintendo Wii owners who haven’t yet downloaded the system’s web browser have until June 30th to get it for free. The Opera-based browser, introduced in December and improved in April, won’t replace your desktop/laptop computer, but can come in handy if those aren’t working. And it beats the niblets out of WebTV.After June 30th, it’ll cost 500 Wii Points ($5) to download the Internet channel - and before you ask, if you’ve already got it, you won’t be charged retroactively.
I am really glad I already got it. My friend will be sorry, he didnt listen to me when I told him to get it before the end of June.

I have the browser, it sucks. I never use it.
same, only when the internet on my computer is wack, or when i dont wanna leave my room,
I got it the first day too. I agree it isnt to great. I can just go on a computer at like 3x the speed.

a mii channel update would be nice...my miis clothes are getting kinda stinky

But it helps me, kinda, because my computer crashed, and when my parents are using their laptops, I can browse t3h int3rnetz0rz on t3h Wii! 
(I still prefer a real computer, though.)
One of the major drawbacks, I'd have to say, is that when you try to view a flash file, it asks if you have the latest edition.. And you can't upgrade. D=
Nintendo is supposed to have upgrades available but we haven't seen anything yet.
