I would like to point out that we hit higher numbers than previous digg articles due to D4rk's optimizations, enabling our server to hum along (though slowly) with huge amounts of traffic. Previous floods of visitors would have huge server loads (much higher than this time) with the site crashing at half this traffic.

The view count in the forum only counts people viewing the post in the forum. Most of the diggers would have viewed it on the portal
yea i no my comp sometimes goes really slow on this comp...and i have a good comp lol
I go onto other sites and they have the little DIGG IT button to the side of their articles...mind you it's much larger sites, but is there anyway we can implement something like that, or is that just way to over the top?
