Today marks a first in Wii history for North American gamers. With the release of Pokémon Battle Revolution on Wii today, they will finally have a chance to take their Wii online and battle it out with others around the globe. Japan has had access to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection since mid-December with the release of Pokémon over there, while Europe and Australia got Mario Strikers Charged Football exactly one month ago today.

Pokémon Battle Revolution follows the same format as it's predecessors in the Pokémon Stadium series and Coliseum. This game however features wireless connectivity between the Wii and your DS so you can easily send over all your Pokémon from Diamond and Pearl. Adding to the online element players can customize their look in the online mode with hats, shirts, skin color, and more.

So if you're a major Pokémaniac you probably already have the game fired up and running on your Wii. If you're one of those people who's never felt like buying what is essentially the console version of a handheld game, then its robust online mode should reel you in.

Way to go Nintendo!
Hope your Online Servers don't crash! : 3
They should of give you strikers as the first online game. Since PBR isnt amazing.
Yeah, I may get this game eventually. Thing is I don't have the money...well I do, but it has to be saved for something else. ;~;
I'm picking this up tomorrow. I'm really lookin forward to some online play since my DS doesn't like my wireless router (but for some reason my wii does). It looks like it'll be really good.

Pokemon >>>>> Mario Strikers
and more deserving.

Pokemon as a whole > Strikers
But I would've rather got Strikers first.

true but one game doesnt mean anything. and Mario Strikers had only one game will pokemon has over 20 and is Nintendo's 2nd best seliing series.

*edited to clarify*
me too, but its principle that pokemon came first. i can myself playing Strikers alot more than Pokemon.
Also Strikers is region locked while PBR isn't.
I would never buy Strikers, but I would buy Pokemon...

...OH WAIT! I'm Australian, so sh*tty Nintendo will make me wait for the game I want and give the one I don't want.
I'm sure there are more than a few Aussies who would disagree with you LMX. It just depends on what you're a fan of.
Well that's good for them, I am left regretting my Wii purchase however.
I actually havn't touched my Wii in weeks. Ever since I beat Red Steel and Zelda I got tired of Wii Sports and Wii Play sucks ass. Renting Sonic and borrowing Paper Mario helped for maybe a week each, but I havn't bought anything new for a while. And there's nothing out there that I feel is worth buying. If I didn't already own RE4 on GameCube, I'd have bought the Wii version. I'll probably rent something soon, just so my Wii doesn't feel left out.
Kindrik, get Godfather. Seriously, it's an awesome game.
I'll put it in the maybe/rental pile.

Wii games to look out for Zack & Wiki, NMH, Dragon Blade, and Dewy's Adventure, and of course MP3.

Out of the games you listed, the only one I care about was Metroid Prime 3, and I doubt that game will see the light of day here for MANY months.
