We have managed to score some exclusive information regarding XCM's 360 HDMI 1080p for use with the original white Xbox 360 console. The cable itself is nearly finished and will be completed in approximately 4 weeks and promises to allow 1080p output on a regular white original Xbox 360.

This is just one more reason to leave the Elite alone. I mean hell, if you don't need the larger HD, then just buy the pro, or wait till the system drop in price (which should be soon). Better yet wait a couple of months when Microsoft actually adds heat sinks to all the systems and not just the ones who have been sent in for repair just recently.

a while box Microsoft enabled 1808p output through the component cable...it was a software thing, and no apparently they don't have enough heat sinks

it has heatsinks. they've just been adding bigger ones.
hardware revisions arent anything new.
i can output at 1080p via components or VGA.
i wouldnt trust 3rd party accessories.
your right, but not all component inputs can do 1080p that's why the HDMI cable would be nice, plus I don't think it will be too expensive. I think when they add the new heat sinks, many of the over heating issues will be taken care of.

My plan is to grab and elite whilst there (taking advantage of the $2=£1) to get an elite for £235 (that's cheaper than the premium version) and then get a power supply in the UK and cross my fingers that nothing explodes.
Are there also any easy region mods available?
